Tara van Gent

Tara van Gent is a writer and visual artist mainly focused on the medium of painting. Born in the Netherlands (1999) and raised in the rural west of Ireland, she is currently based in Cork, Ireland. She graduated from KABK, The Hague in 2022 with a BA in Fine Art, and is currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing at UCC, Cork. In her paintings, she wants to create a world that is visually in-between. Inside and outside merge in the forms of reflections and projections on glass and screens. Through this, she explores a new kind of environment where distance is malleable and the viewer must choose how to position themselves.
